How an engagement runs
- A conversation about the question, not the deliverable. Most engagements change shape once the actual question is stated plainly.
- A written scope with the boundary in it: what will be delivered, what will not be, and what would count as the work having failed.
- The work, with its uncertainty attached. If a study comes back null, that is the deliverable and it is reported as such.
- Handover as source and documentation, so the result is yours to check, run and maintain without further dependence on me.
